Will video games become the next big business for cell phones? Bloomberg Boot Camp, a report on today's technology. The business isn't very big yet….but new cell phones with bright color screens and more powerful processors…could become a popular video game platform. Tim Walsh heads THQ Wireless…a division of game maker THQ…

"We've been expanding our presence in the mobile area by looking at brands and concentrating not just on gaming but also on information services and entertainment." Are you selling strictly in the U.S. or are you globally selling things? "We're leveraging our global offices. So we have offices in Asia, Europe…" Where's the biggest market for wireless gaming right now? "Europe for us is our biggest territory. There's about 40 carriers that we're actively working with in Europe and they also have a very sophisticated SMS based market as well, based on SMS services."

THQ recently expanded its investment in Europe's largest SMS services provider, Minick, looking to boost the popularity of messaging in the U.S…

"So if you take baseball, for example, we want to deliver everything that's about baseball to you on your handset. That includes games of course, but it also might be last night's scores or pictures of a game that happened earlier in the day."
