Boot Camp feature for Friday, April 8, 2005

A Star Wars video game for all ages. Bloomberg Boot Camp, a report on today's technology. The floodgate of video games and toys has begun tied in with the release next month of the final movie in Star Wars saga…Episode III.. Revenge of the Sith. And while the content of some of the games may be too difficult or too violent for younger children, Eidos has created the Lego version, approved for all ages. And while the Star Wars characters have been transformed into Lego figures…that doesn't mean the story line isn't true to the movie. Associate Producer Colby McCracken….

"This is a marriage between the Star Wars franchise and Lego. It's a game that spans all three episodes, I, II and Episode III. And one of the three episodes is Episode III."

(sound)Lego Star Wars is available for the PlayStation2, the Xbox, PCs and the GameBoy Advance. And if you're curious about what will be in the new movie, McCracken says the game will give you a pretty good idea…

"I've stopped myself shy of the end of this game, just because I want to save it for myself." If you played this all the way through, you'd find out what the end of the movie is? "I don't want to give that away, but yes, it's highly possible that you would find out what happens in the movie."

In the meantime, LucasArts is taking pre-orders for Episode III content for its Star Wars Galaxies online game. Bloomberg Boot Camp, I'm Fred Fishkin.
