Imagynasium... Creativity Fun For Kids of Any Age

Boot Camp feature for Friday, September 3, 1999

Turn your PC into a playground for kids. I'm Fred Fishkin with Bootcamp, a report on computers and technology. It's one of the most innovative software programs we've seen for children in a long time. Imagynasium. (sound)

"Imagynasium is a creativity environment for children. They can get on the game and using three different unique environments, they can create montages, stories and sounds and music using objects that they find throughout the game."

Walter Teague of SouthPeak Interactive which created the title along with Robert Redford's Sundance Institute....

"They're very involved in creativity, especially with children. They were able to get Glenn Close and Jonathan Winters as the voices for a couple of the characters in the game.

Imagynasium was designed for six to twelve year olds, but older kids and even adults will find it entertaining. There is no real object to the game. Just to explore words, sounds and music...

"It draws children into wanting to be creative. The characters provoke children to be creative and provide them these different opportunities to just do whatever they feel like doing."

Imagynasium should be in stores later this month, for under thirty dollars.
