New EXR Digital Cameras From FujiFilm

Boot Camp feature for Wednesday, July 22, 2009

New digital camera features from FujiFilm. I'm Fred Fishkin with technology BootCamp, a report on gadgets and gear. It is called EXR sensor technology...first introduced by FujiFilm earlier this year in the F200. Simply put...it allows you to take better pictures in difficult...or even ordinary conditions. Now the technology is coming into two new camera models...the S200 EXR...and the more compact F70 EXR. Among the cool new features says marketing manager David Troy...is multi-frame technology...

"Which will allow the camera really to capture multiple focal points within a single burst mode. Selecting a different focal point in each of those shots ...and then use those multiple focal points to create a depth of field effect...to give a softer background, a more studio like mode."

Similar to what you can get from bigger, often more expensive, digital SLRs. You can find us on the Web...this week with the chance to win a FujiFilm EXR camera...at BootCamp.com. I'm Fred Fishkin.
