Investing in better sound. I'm Fred Fishkin with technology BootCamp, a report on gadgets and gear. Most of us have become accustomed to listening to music on portable devices with the kinds of earphones that came in the box. Sure they work....but the sound doesn't come close to reproducing the full sound created by the artists. That why Best Buy is partnering with Monster in creating specialized areas in Best Buy stores aimed at exposing more people...especially young people...to headphones that deliver higher end sound. CEO Brian Dunn...


"My kids have grown up, they're seventeen, sixteen and ten. They know music through their iPod, through their MP3 players. When I replaced the buds with Beat headphones, their eyes sort of lit up and I think it was the first time they were really hearing the full dynamic range of the sound as it was intended to be."
