Demand Rising for Sony's PS3

Demand is picking up for Sony's PlayStation 3. I'm Fred Fishkin with technology BootCamp, a report on gadgets and gear. Backed by an ad campaign that says, in essence, that the PlayStation3 can do everything... Sony sold a record number of PS3 consoles during the week of November 29th. Sony has added the ability to play streaming movies from Netlflix ...and the new machines are slimmer in size and price. But PlayStation senior software specialist Claudine Ricanor says what really drives console sales...as always... are the games...

"If you have a large selection of software as we do, for instance, we have a lot of PS3 titles available that are exclusive to the PS3 even, that is a major incentive for someone to go out and purchase a PlayStation3 of their own."

Titles like Ratchet and Clank and God of War for instance. The PS3, until this holiday season, has trailed both Nintendo's Wii and Microsoft's Xbox360 in sales. You can find us with archives, interviews and more at BootCamp.com. I'm Fred Fishkin.
