Some Monitors Can Do Double Duty

Boot Camp feature for Friday, April 30, 2010

Some monitors can do double duty. I'm Fred Fishkin with technology BootCamp, a report on gadgets and gear. High definition TVs aren't just for the family room anymore. That's where products like Samsung's P2770 HD fit in. It's a 27 inch monitor that can be found for under four hundred dollars....that doubles as an HDTV. And says product manager Evan Horowitz unlike some competing screens of this size...it delivers a full 1080p picture....

"You're also getting Samsung's elegant design with a touch of color, which is an injection molded process that gives a very elegant blended color finish, which is also extremely eco friendly."

On the down side, there is but one built in HDMI connection and stand doesn't allow for adjusting the angle of the screen. But for dorms, home offices or even kitchens...the P2770 HD makes sense. You can find us with archives, interviews and more at BootCamp.com. I'm Fred Fishkin.
