Bluetooth headsets with something extra. I'm Fred Fishkin with technology BootCamp, a report on gadgets and gear. When it comes to Bluetooth headsets, features are often pretty much the same. But the latest devices from Callpod, the Onyx and Vetro, can handle all of the standard functions, and add features that set them apart. CEO Darren Guccione...
"First and foremost, they have greater range. So we operate at 50 meters range, we call that 5X enhanced range. The other thing that the headsets do is that they can connect to multiple devices at the same time. The other thing that the headset does is, we have what's called walkie-talkie two way communication."
Between two Callpod headsets covering an advertised 84 thousand square foot area. Our tests found that will vary with the number of walls you have to go through. The Onyx sells for about 70 dollars, with the Vetro about 30 dollars more. You can find us with archives, interviews and more at BootCamp.com. I'm Fred Fishkin.
