Clip on gadget to track anything. PocketFinder.

Boot Camp feature for Thursday, November 17, 2011

A clip-on gadget to track anything.   I’m Fred Fishkin with technology BootCamp, a report on gadgets and gear.   Location Based Technologies is out with the PocketFinder.   A round, lightweight device, about the size of a double stuffed Oreo cookie, that can be clipped onto backpacks, dog collars or placed in vehicles.   And using a Web browser or iPhone app, you can track its whereabouts.   CEO Dave Morse …

“It is also designed to be virtually indestructible.  It’s waterproof and shockproof.  We’ve driven over ours multiple times with a fully loaded Tahoe and it still works perfectly.  We also offer geo fencing capability.  It offers speed alerts  and it gives you a sixty day history.”

PocketFinder sells for about a hundred fifty dollars with service priced at 12.95 a month.   There’s more info at PocketFinder.com.  You can find us at BootCamp.com.   I’m Fred Fishkin.
