New realism in Tiger Woods PGA Tour 13 from EA

Boot Camp feature for Friday, March 2, 2012

An all new Tiger Woods golf game from Electronic Arts.   I’m Fred Fishkin with technology BootCamp, a report on gadgets and gear.   EA is readying Tiger Woods PGA Tour 13 and while Tiger may still being having his troubles in the real world of golf,  on game consoles he’s still on top.   In the Xbox 360 version, EA is including support for Kinect and it adds to the realism.  Executive Producer Brent Nielsen says fans will find lots that’s new…

A few of the biggest things they’re going to find.  One, we’ve completely revised the swing mechanic in the game with total swing control and given you, really, with this new animation system and new physics system that we’ve put in the game, really being able to create any type of shot in golf.  If you can think of a golf shot, in golf, you’ll be able to execute it in the game.”

The Kinect system cameras watch the movement of your hips and shoulders and mistakes are reflected in the game.   It is due to arrive March 27th.   You can find us with archives, interviews and more at BootCamp.com.   I’m Fred Fishkin.
