Getting serious about taking pictures? Adobe's Lightroom 4.

Boot Camp feature for Tuesday, April 3, 2012

Getting serious about taking pictures?   Adobe’s latest Lightroom is a good investment.   I’m Fred Fishkin with technology BootCamp, a report on gadgets and gear.    New, lighter weight, interchangeable lens cameras are putting better equipment in the hands of more and more people.   What you do with the images from there is another issue.   Adobe’s new Lightroom 4 puts some powerful and fun tools at your disposal at a price far below the company’s PhotoShop software.    Product manager Tom Hogarty….

“It’s essentially your photographic hub on your computer.  You can manage your images, you can do incredible adjustments, black and white conversions. ”

And among the new features in Lightroom 4…

“Well I think the things that a lot of photographers are talking about are seamlessly integrated video management and editing.  We have a great book creation model dedicated to creating really high quality photo books.  You can organize your photos by location using Google maps.”

Lightroom 4 for Windows or Macs sells for about 149 dollars.  Upgrade pricing is cheaper.  You can find us at BootCamp.com.   I’m Fred Fishkin.
