More fitness help from your iPhone.   I’m Fred Fishkin with technology BootCamp, a report on gadgets and gear.     The number of apps out there that can help you stay fit continues to grow.   Some work with add on hardware to monitor your movement or heart rate.    The latest app from Gain Fitness, Gain 3.0, takes a different approach and the basic version is free.   You enter your profile info and the app creates customized workouts tailored to you.   CEO Nick Gammell…

“The big thing with the new version, 3.0, is that we really added these trainer-like capabilities.  Namely, the game plan.  It helps you build a workout schedule and then it sends you reminders when it is time to workout.  And it keeps you on track with a little Gain mechanic called Workout Streak that shows you how many workouts you’ve hit in a row.  We also added expansion packs.”
