Online help for toy buying and assembling

Boot Camp feature for Friday, May 11, 2012

When it comes to toy buying and assembling, some help for parents online.   I’m Fred Fishkin with technology BootCamp, a report on gadgets and gear.   TimetoPlayMag.com is out with its “Most Wanted” toy list for the summer season and the site, with a library of videos,  is helpful to parents who want to get a realistic look at toys before they buy.   Very often, decisions are made based on what the kids have seen in TV commercials.   Then there’s the matter of assembling some of the toys.  TimetoPlayMag editor in chief Jim Silver ….

Oh that’s something that we find parents get frustrated with.  And that’s why we go through every toy.  We look at the assembly and we look at the instructions and we forewarn you.  Hey, this toy, like one in particular, took an hour and  a half to put together.  And you need power tools.  And too often a consumer doesn’t know that.”

That’s why it’s helpful to check out the TimetoPlayMag.com site…or other sites, such as Amazon,  with consumer reviews.  You can find us with archives, interviews and more at BootCamp.com.   I’m Fred Fishkin.
