High end camera features at lower price. Pentax K30.

Boot Camp feature for Tuesday, May 22, 2012

High end camera features at a lower price.  The latest from Pentax.   I’m Fred Fishkin with technology BootCamp, a report on gadgets and gear.   Pentax has added some interesting cameras to its line up of late.  The K-01 unique designer style  interchangeable lens camera seems to evoke love it or hate it emotions.   There is no quarrel over the image quality though.  Now comes the K30 DSLR.  Marketing manager John Carlson…

“The K30 is really a very advanced camera for an exceptionally reasonable price.  For about 850 dollars, body only, you get a 16 megapixel CMOS sensor in the camera.  And it’s in a fully weather sealed body.”

There’s a long list of other features too.    If you need a camera that can do more than just get a little wet,  in the meantime, the Optio WG-2 can withstand depths of forty feet and is crush proof as well.    There’s more info at Pentax.com.  You can find us at BootCamp.com.   I’m Fred Fishkin.
