New NX cameras from Samsung

Boot Camp feature for Thursday, May 31, 2012

A new NX camera line-up from Samsung.   I’m Fred Fishkin with technology BootCamp, a report on gadgets and gear.   Samsung has begun shipping the first of the new models in its updated NX camera line featuring 20.3 megapixel sensors and interchangeable lenses.   The flagship NX20 also features a built in high resolution viewfinder.   You’ll also find built in WiFi with some pretty cool capabilities.   Senior VP Reid Sullivan…

“We’ve included a mini browser in all of our wireless models in 2012.  So that means that you can go into a Starbucks or a McDonalds or other free WiFi locations and access or be able to approve terms and conditions.  We’ve also got WiFi Direct, so it’s much more reliable and easier to connect between devices.  So if you want to transfer pictures or videos from the camera directly to a tablet, or to a TV to enjoy on the big screen,  you can do that more seamlessly than ever before.”

There’s also a mode that lets you use your mobile device or tablet as a remote viewfinder and shutter control.   You can find us at BootCamp.com.  I’m Fred Fishkin.
