Looking for a new camera for that summer vacation?

Boot Camp feature for Friday, July 6, 2012

Looking for a new camera for that summer vacation?   I’m Fred Fishkin with technology BootCamp, a report on gadgets and gear.     There are lots of choices when it comes to great new cameras.   Canon has announced the T4i…the latest in its Rebel digital SLR line adding lots of new features for under a thousand dollars.   Nikon is out with the D3200 for under 700 dollars.  And says Nikon Senior Technical Manager Steve Heiner…

“This is an amazing entry level camera with believe it or not a 24.2 megapixel sensor.  It’s a DX size sensor with incredible resolution.”

And Olympus has a hit on its hands too with the new micro-four thirds OM-D E-M5 camera.   If a lighter weight interchangeable lens camera is what you’re looking for, the OM-D is a worthy contender.   It features a built in electronic viewfinder, improved low light performance and fast autofocus.    And there’s a lot to love about Olympus lenses.      You can find us at BootCamp.com.   I’m Fred Fishkin.
