Running out of storage on a Mac? Solutions from G-Technology.

Boot Camp feature for Friday, July 27, 2012

Running out of storage room on a Mac?  The latest solutions from G-Technology.   I’m Fred Fishkin with technology BootCamp, a report on gadgets and gear.   With digital cameras featuring more and more megapixels and the capability of shooting HD video,  it is easy to quickly use up the internal storage space on a computer.   G-Technology has specialized in add-on drives designed for Macs and product management specialist Greg Crosby says…

“One of our most popular ones is our G Drive Slim, about the same thickness of an iPhone or a Macbook Air.  Sot it compliments that product really well.   As Apple has gone in transition now to USB 3.0 and offering that on their product, we’re following right behind them and we have three products here that actually have USB 3.0 technology.”

The company is also out with the G-Connect drive…designed to give wireless storage to iPhones and iPads.   But unlike some competitors, chiefly the GoFlex Satellite from Seagate, it requires AC power, making its usefulness much more limited.   You can find us at BootCamp.com.   I’m Fred Fishkin.
