No software needed service to locate mobile phones. MobilePhoneLocate.

Boot Camp feature for Wednesday, September 5, 2012

A no software needed service to locate mobile phones.  I’m Fred Fishkin with technology BootCamp, a report on gadgets and gear.      A variety of apps and services are on the market to let family members keep track of the whereabouts of each other via cell phone.  They can be useful for parents who need to know whether their children have arrived home safely from school.   One of the latest services, requires no software or app download at all.  It’s called MobilePhoneLocate from LiveViewGPS, where CEO George Karonis says…

“A user would head over to our Web site at MobilePhoneLocate.com, they would register for a free account.  They would register a phone on our system.  And we’re going to send the phone a text message, which they then respond to, and the phone then becomes locatable.”

There are different plans available.     A monthly plan with 50 locates is priced at 7.95.  Locating is done through any browser.  You  can find us at BootCamp.com.   I’m Fred Fishkin.
