The founders of JibJab create some fun for kids. I’m Fred Fishkin with technology BootCamp, a report on gadgets and gear. Hard to believe it’s been more than a dozen years since Gregg Spiradellis and his brother Evan created JibJab, a site that lets people use their own photos to create animated greeting cards or even put themselves into political cartoon videos. Today, the brothers are both dads, and Gregg says that’s what inspired them to create a new site for kids and parents called Storybots….
“At Storybots.com, we have a free starring you video series where kids can jam out with the Storybots, put themselves in the videos, put family members in the videos. And then on the iPad, we have Storybots Storybooks and kids become the star of the show. Their face and their name are integrated into the stories. A new book comes out every month. It’s a free download, it comes with one free book.”
Parents can get a new book every month for their kids for 3.99 a month. You can find more at Storybots.com. You can find us at BootCamp.com. I’m Fred Fishkin.
