Securifi's Almond Plus: Router designed to do more.

Boot Camp feature for Tuesday, January 15, 2013

A wireless router designed to do a whole lot more.   I’m Fred Fishkin with technology BootCamp, a report on gadgets and gear.   Securifi, the company that created the touch screen Almond wireless router last summer, is at it again.   It has announced what it calls the Almond Plus.  And it really is different from anything else out there.   Founder and CEO Ram Malasani….

“Almond Plus still has the same amazingly easy to use touch screen interface. It has a much faster WiFi connection.  The best thing about it is it also has home automation technologies Zigbee and ZWave integrated into it.  It will talk to other sensors that are compatible.  And you can control these sensors remotely using a mobile app.”

To control lights, thermostats and more.   And the announced price for the Almond Plus, due this summer,  is a surprising 99 dollars.   There’s more info at Securifi.com.  You can find us with archives, interviews and more at BootCamp.com.   I’m Fred Fishkin.
