Need more mobile storage? Kingston’s upcoming MobileLite Wireless. I’m Fred Fishkin with technology BootCamp, a report on gadgets and gear. Kingston Technology has been working on a follow up to its WiDrive, a portable, rechargeable flash memory device that connects to smartphones and tablets. How is the upcoming MobileLite Wireless different? Senior technology manager Mike Mohney…
“It’s a card reader that allows you to plug in a micro SD, SD or USB flash drive into the MobileLite device and then you can stream content from that device to your iOS product, your iPad, your iPhone or your Android based product. So it’s very similar to our WiDrive, only this one doesn’t come with flash onboard. You add the flash in the form of cards or USB drives.”
It can also double as an add on battery pack for your phone. The MobileLite Wireless will arrive later this year competing with products like Seagate’s new 1 Terabyte Wireless Plus …that is available now. You can find us at BootCamp.com. I’m Fred Fishkin.
