Nosy Crow's Little Red Riding Hood app.

Boot Camp feature for Thursday, May 23, 2013

An app for kids opens a new way to play with Little Red Riding Hood.   I’m Fred Fishkin with technology BootCamp, a report on gadgets and gear.    Children’s publisher Nosy Crow has taken interactive books for kids to another level with its new version of Little Red Riding Hood for the iPad.     What’s different?  Digital Project and Marketing Manager Tom Bonnick…

“It’s very much a familiar version of the story, but with a few twists.  Little Red Riding Hood walks through the forest to her grandmother’s house and she’ll come to forks in the path.  And you can choose which fork to take her down and as a result, you’ll have a whole new story every time.  If you choose one fork, you’ll have one set of options and you’ll meet one set of characters.  And if you take a different fork, you’ll meet a different set of characters.  And the ending of the story is subtlety adjusted based on the choices that you make.  So you create the story and you create the ending for yourself.”

And Nosy Crow has more to come.   You can find us at BootCamp.com.   I’m Fred Fishkin.
