Voice controlled home personal assistant: Ivee Sleek.

Boot Camp feature for Friday, October 18, 2013

A voice controlled digital personal assistant for the home.   I’m Fred Fishkin with technology BootCamp, a report on gadgets and gear.    A company called Ivee has been on the market for a while with a personal assistant alarm clock that displayed some pretty cool technology.    Now the company…spelled I V E E…is coming to market with the Ivee Sleek….and you can think of it as a sort of Siri device for the home.    CEO Jonathan Nostrant…

“We’ve built a platform that allows you to connect Ivee to other Internet connected devices.  So if you have an Internet connected thermostat or smart blinds or some sort of hub that can control your devices you can connect Ivee into it and she can, through voice command, enable you to control those other devices.”

Ivee Sleek is arriving before the end of the year at Office Depot and some other retailers.  The price…about 230 dollars…and there is no subscription attached.    You can find more info at helloivee.com.   You can find us at BootCamp.com.   I’m Fred Fishkin.
