Tech makes fitness like child's play. Blue Goji.

Boot Camp feature for Monday, January 6, 2014

A little tech can make fitness seem like child’s play.   I’m Fred Fishkin with technology BootCamp, a report on gadgets and gear.   Blue Goji is at long last out with what it calls Goji Play.   They are essentially little game controllers that you can use on the handles of fitness equipment.   They pair up with a wearable motion sensor….and let you play game on iPads or iPhones…while you exercise.  The people behind it were the geniuses behind Guitar Hero.   CEO and Co-founder Kai Huang…

“So you download all of the games onto the tablet and you hop on your exercise machine.  Let’s say it’s an exercise bike.  And you launch the games and you start playing.  And your activity is what’s translated into the game.  So imagine a game where, when you start moving, Fred, then your character in the game starts moving.  And when you stop your character in the game stops.”

I like it and it’s very portable.  The price, about a hundred dollars.   Find more at BlueGoji.com.   You can find us at BootCamp.com.  I’m Fred Fishkin.
