     Samsung revs up the marketing for the Galaxy S5.   I’m Fred Fishkin with technology BootCamp, a report on gadgets and gear.    Its newest flagship smartphone is still about a month away…but Samsung has been busy drumming up excitement with advertising during the Oscars this month and announcements about a bucketful of premium apps that S5 owners will get for free.   And about the phone itself…marketing manager Philip Berne says…the focus is on improving what consumers need most…

“It’s got a great new adaptive screen technology that looks fantastic outdoors, adjusts its color and brightness and contrast so that it really looks great when you’re outside.  It’s got a great new camera module that’s very, very fast autofocus, faster than we’ve had in our cameras before.  It’s now water resistant.”
