Windows 8, kids and games. Legacy Games.

Boot Camp feature for Friday, April 18, 2014

Windows 8, kids and games.   I’m Fred Fishkin with technology BootCamp, a report on gadgets and gear.     There are lots of touch screen Windows 8 all in one computers, notebooks and tablets out there.   But finding fun and worthwhile games for kids that use the touch screens isn’t nearly as easy as it is for tablets that use Android or iOS.    Legacy Games is out with a couple of titles though to help keep little ones entertained,  Tarzan Uleashed and Crayola Color, Draw & Sing.   It isn’t your typical coloring or painting app.  CEO Ariella Lehrer….

“We decided that we would try to make the experience a little bit like a game and allow kids to unlock a unique musical track every single time they use one of the art tools.  And what happens is, as a result, we’ve seen children spend almost twice as much time actually sort of composing their picture.”

It’s worthwhile and sells for about five dollars.  You can find the titles in the Windows 8 store…and coming soon to iOS as well.   You can find us at BootCamp.com.   I’m Fred Fishkin.
