A clever way to avoid losing that charger cable. I’m Fred Fishkin with technology BootCamp, a report on gadgets and gear. Like those reading glasses that seem to magically disappear…charging cables have a way of vanishing too. They are all too easily left behind. That led inventor Brian Tedesco to come up with a product and a company called ChargerLeash…
“We went out and found a way, a technology, that allows you, when you’re using ChargerLeash, to plug into any standard AC power outlet or USB power source, plug the other end of this traditional USB charging sync cable into a portable device. And when you disconnect the portable device, we will alert you with an alarm that you have walked away from your charger and your cable and come back and get the charger and cable.”
There are versions available for Apple devices…new and old…and for devices that use Micro-USB plugs as well. Prices range from 20 to 30 dollars. There’s more info at ChargerLeash.com. You can find us at BootCamp.com. I’m Fred Fishkin.
