Techie gift ideas for geeky Dads.   I’m Fred Fishkin with technology BootCamp, a report on gadgets and gear.    Nearly every Dad, it seems, is into gadgets these days.  Smartphones, tablets, streaming devices.   One cool way to store pictures, music and videos …is with the new Seagate Wireless Plus.   It has a terabyte or two of storage and you can connect up to eight tablets and smartphones to it wirelessly…at the same time.  Prices start at about  175 dollars.   If Dad likes to dabble in home automation, Belkin’s WeMo line of switches and motion sensors that work with Android or iOS smartphones is worth checking out.   And D-Link is out with a WiFi Smart Plug too that lets you turn devices on and off remotely while monitoring energy use.   If Dad has an iPad Air…one of the neatest add-ons is the Qode Thin Type Keyboard from Belkin made of aircraft grade anodized aluminum, and 4 millimeters thin.   You can find us…with archives, interviews and more ideas at BootCamp.com.   I’m Fred Fishkin.
