More choices from discount mobile carrier FreedomPop.   I’m Fred Fishkin with technology BootCamp, a report on gadgets and gear.    FreedomPop is a discount phone service that now can take advantage of Sprint’s 4G LTE network.   And you can sign up for unlimited service for just 20 dollars a month.   At that rate…your 4G data will drop down to 3G after one gigabyte of use.   CEO Stephen Stokols says there are still free plans for customers who don’t need the all you can eat service.   The company now has the iPhone 5 and some more capable Android devices in its line up….

“If you’re looking for a phone, we have four or five different handsets that start at 99 bucks and go up to 200 and 300 bucks on the iPhone 5.    In addition, you can bring your own phone over.  If you’ve got an iPhone 5 or an iPhone 4 or a Samsung that you want to actually activate on our free plan, you can come to our site and activate it.  The caveat is that it needs to be a Sprint device.”

There’s more info at FreedomPop.com.  You can find us with archives, interviews and more at BootCamp.com.  I’m Fred Fishkin.
