Samsung does battle with Apple...again.

Boot Camp feature for Friday, September 26, 2014

Combating the new iPhones with not one, but two new Galaxy Notes from Samsung.   I’m Fred Fishkin with technology BootCamp, a report on gadgets and gear.    Samsung created the category of the giant screen smartphone or phablet with the original Galaxy Note.   Now the Note 4 is arriving along with the Note Edge, which has a unique screen running along a curved side.  They are designed to wow with a quad HD display and improved cameras.  Samsung’s Director of U.S. Product Planning Drew Blackard…

“Since the last generation we’ve increased the megapixels on both the front facing and the rear camera.  So the rear camera is now 16 megapixel and we’ve added optical image stabilization.  And that’s an amazing feature that’s seen commonly in dSLR type of professional cameras that absorbs subtle shocks from within your hand.  So it means fewer blurry photos.  When you zoom in, you can actually get super sharp digital zoom.”

So the Apple vs. Samsung battle rages on.   You can find us at BootCamp.com.   I’m Fred Fishkin.
