Wearable camera designed for law enforcement and more: Vievu

Boot Camp feature for Wednesday, October 8, 2014

A point of view camera designed for law enforcement and more.   I’m Fred Fishkin with technology BootCamp, a report on gadgets and gear.    More and more, the need for wearable cameras in law enforcement has become apparent to protect both sides.   And a company called Vievu has seen increasing demand for its small, sturdy clip on cameras…in a variety of professional settings.   President Steve Lovell….

“We currently have over four thousand police agencies using Vievu wearable cameras in sixteen countries.   So we’ve experienced pretty substantial growth since 2007 and our product’s goal is to efficiently and accurately, document your day.”

The company has also designed the Vievu 2 (squared) camera for the prosumer market.   Using an app, the 350 dollar camera can stream to smartphones.  There’s more info at Vievu.com.   You can find us, with archives, interviews and more at BootCamp.com.
