Computer keyboard designed for typists. Cherry MX Board 6.0

Boot Camp feature for Friday, June 26, 2015

A computer keyboard designed for typists.   I’m Fred Fishkin with technology BootCamp, a report on gadgets and gear.   I basically write for a living, so you’ll pardon me if I’m partial to something like this.  The Cherry MX Board 6.0 keyboard is out.  The first thing you'll notice is the weight of it.   And then the sound when you begin to type… (sound)… and that goes with the feel.  It is very much like typing on an electronic typewriter of old.    Product Marketing Manager Russell Mackenzie…

“This is a keyboard meant for top line typists.  People who are really going to spend a lot of time on their keyboard and need the comfort and the speed that this type of design will give you.”

It is extraordinary.   So is the price….nearing 220 dollars.   The other drawback…in the eyes of some….maybe that old time clicking sound…especially if there are many of them in an office.   But for sturdiness, speed and  comfort…for serious typists and gamers…the investment may be worthwhile.   You can find us at BootCamp.com.   I’m Fred Fishkin.
