Another Web Saver of Time and Trouble... getacard.com

Boot Camp feature for Wednesday, June 21, 2000

Don't look now but you're best friend's birthday is next week... and you know who has an anniversary coming up. So what are you going to do, rush out to a card store? If you have the time you could design and print your own card with your computer. Or you could log onto the Web. Sending cards by email has become pretty popular, but if you're the kind of person that likes to send the old fashioned variety, I've found just the site for you. getacard.com. Getacard president Gary Hickox...

"Getacard.com is a new service on the Internet that gives you the ability to order a real paper greeting card. You personalize the card after you pick it, we inscribe your message, we sign your name with our new personal signature feature, address the envelope, put your return address on it, put a stamp on it and mail it for you."

You don't have to leave your desk! The site lets you fax or mail in a series of signatures that can include other family members... .they are scanned and kept on file. Choose which signature you want to use for the card being sent. Order before 4pm west coast time and the card is sent the same day. Prices range between 2.49 and 3.49 including postage. Another plus... you can save an address book and calendar on the site and even have cards automatically sent out on special occasions. You can find more online greetings at ThirdAge.com.
