Seagate's Game Drive for Xbox

Boot Camp feature for Wednesday, August 26, 2015

An easy way to up the storage on an Xbox.   I’m Fred Fishkin with technology BootCamp, a report on gadgets and gear.    Seagate has partnered with Microsoft to release the new Game Drive for Xbox.   It’s an external drive that works with either the Xbox One or Xbox 360…to give players an extra two terabytes for storing games, photos, videos and music.   Product Marketing Manager Eber Legarreta…

“The Xbox traditionally comes with either a 500 or a one terabyte internal drive and this basically multiplies the capacity of the drive to store a lot more games.  With the addition, it’s not just more storage, but there’s also the portability factor.  So not only can you hold more games, but you can also carry them with you, basically to a friend’s house or on the go.”

The design of the drive is a nice compliment to the Xbox One or 360.    It competes with the WD My Passport X drive which is designed only for the Xbox One and PCs.   You can find us at BootCamp.com.   I’m Fred Fishkin.
