A bike helmet that's smart: Livall

Boot Camp feature for Tuesday, October 13, 2015

A bike helmet that’s smart.    I’m Fred Fishkin with technology BootCamp, a report on gadgets and gear.   A company called Livall has wrapped up an online fundraising campaign to produce a smart cycling helmet that integrates communications, music, lighting and can even automatically call for help should you take a fall or have another emergency.   Project Management Director Qi Wang…

“Actually we thought of everything when it comes to cycling safety.  Safety always comes first.  So when pedaling around at night, it can be hard to make other users aware of your next turn if you rely on the arm.   We have a handlebar attachment linked to the lights in the back of your helmet which flash according to which way you are turning.”

The price?   About a hundred dollars.   There’s more info at Livall.com.    You can find us at BootCamp.com.   I’m Fred Fishkin.
