A tag to keep track of your pet: PetTag Plus

Boot Camp feature for Friday, October 30, 2015

A tag to keep track of your pet.   I’m Fred Fishkin with technology BootCamp, a report on gadgets and gear.   There are several devices on the market designed for pet collars that use GPS and mobile signals to help you find a lost dog or other animal.    A new device called Pet Tag Plus is taking a different approach.   It is designed to help you track your pet’s activity throughout the day.  It can connect to up to seven different smart phones using Bluetooth low energy.   Founder and CEO Shahir Ahmed…

“So when I’m traveling, my dog walker comes over, puts the leash on my dog, takes him for a walk, and I’m instantly sent a push message saying John Smith walked my dog 1.4 miles around the park.   And that’s just the start of our company and our technology.”

PetTag Plus is due on the market before the holiday season after running a fundraising campaign on Kickstarter.   There’s more info at Pettagplus.com.  You can find us at BootCamp.com.   I’m Fred Fishkin.
