A little tech to help in getting a good night's sleep: Beddit

Boot Camp feature for Tuesday, November 10, 2015

A little tech help in getting a better night’s sleep.    I’m Fred Fishkin with technology BootCamp, a report on gadgets and gear.    There are lots of wrist worn fitness and sleep trackers to choose from that can help you get an idea about how much quality sleep you’re getting.   But for many of us, while we are sleeping is the best time to re-charge those devices.  A company called Beddit is solving that issue and takes the science beyond what you get from a tracker on your wrist.  It uses a thin tape with sensors that goes under the sheet you sleep on.  CEO and Co-founder Lasse Leppakorpi…

“It’s totally unnoticeable and hidden in the bed and works automatically whenever you are lying in the bed.  And it has a wireless connection to the mobile device, and then the mobile device will show you the results and give you the advice.”

The Beddit device and apps have a lot of science behind them and really can help.  The new smart version works automatically and sells for 149 dollars.   The classic model is thirty dollars less but needs to be manually turned on through the app.   You can find us at BootCamp.com.  I’m Fred Fishkin.
