DJI's Osmo 4K camera...for the ground

Boot Camp feature for Friday, December 11, 2015

A drone maker focuses on a 4K camera designed to be carried.   I’m Fred Fishkin with technology BootCamp, a report on gadgets and gear.     DJI is a company that is well known for making some of the more popular drones for photography and videography.   In trying to come up with a better camera for flight, it developed what it now calls the Osmo….a 4K, 12 megapixel camera designed to produce crisp stills and smooth videos.   The handheld mount eliminates the shakiness.   DJI’s Adam Najberg…

“It comes with a handle that has the controls, it has smart controls, a joystick, it has a shutter button for still photography, has intelligent pan and tilt and has a video record button.  It’s the same camera that’s on the Inspire Drone.”

The handle is designed to accommodate most smart phones to use as the display when shooting.   It is clever, produces great quality and sells for under 650 dollars.   You can find us at BootCamp.com.   I’m Fred Fishkin.
