Spinnable's 360 degree photo and video platform

Boot Camp feature for Thursday, March 17, 2016

Producing your own 360 degree photos and videos.   I’m Fred Fishkin with technology BootCamp, a report on gadgets and gear.      VR or virtual reality is a hot category and its only getting hotter.   There’s some great content out there to use with VR headsets.   But if you want to create your own, an app called Spinnable is making it a whole lot easier.   CEO and co-founder Mark Demarest…

“We created Spinnable as a wholly 360 platform   Anyone can create an account for free, shoot their pictures, upload their pictures, find, follow other users.   And we are hardware agnostic so we are compatible with any 360 capture device as well as any playback device.  We enable, on iOS currently, the ability for anyone to capture a pano shot off of their native iPhone camera and we stitch it into a full spherical image.”

Besides Android,  Spinnable will also be coming to Apple TV and the Samsung Gear VR.   You can find us at BootCamp.com.   I’m Fred Fishkin.
