A better lock screen for Android. Delvv's Defumblr.

Boot Camp feature for Friday, April 22, 2016

A better lock screen for Android.   I’m Fred Fishkin with technology BootCamp, a report on gadgets and gear.    The amount of time many of us spend taking out our phones to check email, Facebook, Twitter and more….can get out of hand these days.   A company called Delvv is looking to change some of that behavior with an app called Defumblr.    CEO Raefer Gabriel says the idea is to use machine learning to give you the information you need at a glance on your lock screen….

“We’re doing things like analyzing that stream of notifications that come at you and trying to prioritize the most important ones.  So we’re looking at both aggregated behaviors and individual behaviors of the user and trying to understand what’s most important to a person.”

You can download Defumblr for free from Android Play.   At the very least, it can save you some time when it comes to those smartphone check ins.   You can find us at BootCamp.com.   I’m Fred Fishkin.
