Love pets? See the world and stay for free. TrustedHouseSitters.com.

Boot Camp feature for Monday, June 20, 2016

Love pets?   You can see the world and stay for free.    I’m Fred Fishkin with technology BootCamp, a report on gadgets and gear.   A Web site called TrustedHouseSitters.com was launched to help people solve what CEO Andy Peck calls a common problem…when people go away they’re concerned about what to do with their pets.   The site enables them to find pet sitters for free…in exchange for a place to stay.   He calls it a win win…

“We found that 70 percent of people retire and they don’t have the funds to enjoy the break they’d like to.  And house sitting enables them to enjoy a break, caring for pets, without the usual accommodation or eating out costs.  And for owners, it’s fantastic, because they get their home and pets looked after for free.”

Sometimes for a couple of days….sometimes for weeks or more.   The catch is you do need to be a member of the site which costs 99 dollars a year.  There are members of TrustedHouseSitters.com around the world.   You can find us at BootCamp.com.   I’m Fred Fishkin.
