Epson delivers fastest photo scanner: FastFoto FF-640

Boot Camp feature for Thursday, October 6, 2016

Get out those shoeboxes and albums full of photos.   I’m Fred Fishkin with BootCamp, your Techstination for gadgets and gear.    How many old family photos do you have stored on that shelf on top of the closet.    Epson is now making it easy to scan, restore and organize them….and share the ones you want…with the FastFoto FF-640 scanner.   How fast?   Up to one photo a second.   Epson’s Director of Imaging Larry Trevarthen…

“It will also enhance the photo.  It’ll scan the back of the photo so you get grandma’s notes on the back as well.  So you’re capturing that entire memory at a photo a second.   So you could go through about five thousand images in just a few hours where before this would take hundreds of hours on a flatbed scanner or weeks if you sent it off to a scan service.”

The FastFoto FF-640 can also be used for document scanning and organization.    It’s just out with a price tag of about 650 dollars.   There’s more info at   You can find us at  I’m Fred Fishkin.
