Samsung Adds Features to Flat Panels

The monitors allow you to open a tv window... while you are working... or go full screen with either. Marketing has been aimed at the corporate and financial communities... .

"In financial markets, traders need CNN, they need Bloomberg. They're able to see that on screen and then of course, switch back to computer data."

And the screens are also finding their way into dorm rooms where space is at a premium. Pricing starts at under six hundred dollars. Now... Samsung is adding HDTV ready capability. The new models will ship next month for about two hundred dollars more. About the growing popularity of LCD screens Roque says...

"We're starting to see a mix of close to 25 percent of flat panel."
