"The questions Bootcamp asks are very similar to questions found on the actual DAT and the format and interface of their Full Length Tests are almost identical to the DAT itself."

Two critical advantages that Bootcamp has over other study programs is that: 1. The questions they ask are very similar to questions found on the actual DAT and 2. The format and interface of their Full Length Tests are almost identical to the DAT itself.

"The number one resource from Bootcamp that helped me succeed was the Dr. Ari's 90-day schedule. The daily assignments really helped me stay on track, especially in the first few weeks."

A few things I did in the week leading up to my exam to relieve some anxiety was taking my full length exams at 8:30AM in the library so that I could simulate how test day might actually feel. I also started going to sleep earlier so that my sleep schedule would be adjusted by the time of test day.

"I would definitely focus on acid/base chemistry as a more highly tested topic, and also mentally tell yourself to slow down a little on OC to avoid silly mistakes."

I made the most of it by strategically simulating the entire testing experience every day as accurately as possible (waking up at the same actual testing time, eating the same breakfast, drinking the same energy drink, going to a random public library cubicle, leaving my phone in the car, running the same 30-minute break routine, etc.). Even though there are some things you can’t control when taking a test in an unfamiliar environment, you can control yourself, so practice exactly the way you plan to perform.

"I highly recommend Anki for biology, do as many practice tests as possible, and review those tests multiple times to make sure you know all the obscure facts that you were missing."

One thing I had to remind myself was that not every day will be perfect. One day you can get through 3 bio chapters and score super high on a practice test, and the next you can barely focus and get the easiest questions wrong. This is not a reflection of you. When you are in dental school you will have hard days, so it's infinitely better to set up good habits now so you can thrive in the future.

"My biggest tip for the DAT is to not ignore the sections you already feel comfortable with!"

The reading comprehension section goes by so quickly, so practicing and maintaining speed is very important. Have a plan in case you get one really long passage on test day. Remain consistent with your RC studying, especially if you’re not used to reading so quickly or for extended periods.

"Focus on consistent daily study, spaced repetition, and building a toolbox of strategies rather than trying to memorize everything at once."

One strategy that helped me tremendously was studying a little bit of every DAT subject every day. Instead of focusing on a single subject for long periods of time, I allowed information to gradually “marinate.” Spaced repetition made concepts stick much more naturally over time.

"After completing all of Bootcamp's videos and practice questions, I felt prepared for test day. I passed and I genuinely give all the credit to INBDE Bootcamp."'

INBDE Bootcamp!! What a resource! The INBDE exam worried me because of the amount of information that I could be asked about. Using only Bootcamp, I began studying for my exam a few weeks before my scheduled test date. I quickly realized why this resource is worth every dime. Bootcamp covers every INBDE subject in extensive detail. Each area of the website is filled with expert videos from some extremely smart people. After spending time watching the videos and completing the practice questions, I felt prepared for test day(s). Well, I passed, and I genuinely give all the credit to INBDE Bootcamp. They took four years of dental school content and made it digestible, and they got me where I needed to be: one step closer to DDS!

"The videos were great summary tools of each subject and the practice questions mimicked the exam very well.‍"

I used Bootcamp for 6-8 weeks prior to my INBDE boards examination and felt extremely prepared to take them! I would highly recommend using this platform- it's easy to use and touched on every subject concisely and adequately. I was able to pinpoint areas I needed to spend more time on and breeze through the areas I felt I already knew. The videos were great summary tools of each subject and the practice questions mimicked the exam very well.

INDBE Bootcamp helped organize 4 years of dental school material into an easy-to-follow, tailored study schedule. They covered all essential high-yield topics and offered detailed reviews of lower-yield content too. The style and format of the 2000+ questions really helped prepare me for the board exam and was key to my success. I also appreciated the efficient responses of the online time that were always there to answer any questions I had. I would recommend Bootcamp to anyone taking the INDBE!

MCAT Bootcamp

MCAT Bootcamp teaches you the reasoning patterns the AAMC actually tests.

  • 150 AAMC-style passages that teach AAMC logic.
  • Video explanations that teach you the exact reasoning step by step.
  • Explanations that teach why an answer is correct or incorrect.

"MCAT Bootcamp helped me improve from a 499 practice exam to a 515 on test day. I found the explanations really clear, and they helped me understand topics in a way that actually stuck."

When I first started studying for the MCAT, my first practice exam score was a 499. On test day, I scored a 515, a 16 point increase. MCAT Bootcamp was a big part of my studying, especially for the science sections. I found the explanations really clear, and they helped me understand topics in a way that actually stuck. On test day, I ended up scoring in the 92+ percentile across all of the science sections thanks to MCAT Bootcamp.

For CARS, I honestly wish I had started using Bootcamp earlier. Early in my studying, my CARS score was hovering around 123–124, and I was mostly using other resources because that was what I had been recommended. I quickly realized that the tools I was using were not helping me improve my score. Once I started using Bootcamp’s CARS tools more seriously, I saw some of my practice test scores go up to 127–128, and I ultimately scored a 126 on test day. What helped me most was the way Bootcamp explained wrong answers. It showed me how small changes in my thought process could completely change how I approached a question.

My favorite Bootcamp feature was definitely the answer explanations. They were clear, direct, and actually useful when reviewing mistakes. Instead of just telling me the right answer, they helped me to understand why I got something wrong and how to avoid making the same mistake again. This emphasized the importance of reasoning on the MCAT, rather than simply forcing memorization like many other tools.

Out of the handful of different Qbanks I tried, MCAT Bootcamp was one of the closest to the AAMC style in terms of the passages and the way questions were asked. I would still tell students to use the official AAMC material, but I think Bootcamp is a great resource to work through first because the explanations help you actually learn from each question before moving on to AAMC practice. The AAMC questions do not do as good of a job of correcting wrong answer patterns.

Overall, MCAT Bootcamp helped me improve from a 499 practice exam to a 515 on test day. I would definitely recommend it to other students, especially anyone who wants clear explanations and realistic practice that helps them review more effectively. I would recommend that students do as many practice questions as possible, because even getting questions wrong was an invaluable learning experience thanks to Bootcamp’s explanations.

"The way the information is presented feels a lot more accessible than other resources I've used."

Bootcamp has definitely been helpful for me. I like that they present the information in bite-sized pieces and that each video is followed by questions. It's nicely organized and concise. The way the information is presented feels a lot more accessible than other resources I've used. The post-video questions are simple, but there's enough forced recall that I feel it helps me better remember what I just learned.

"I feel confident that I will pass my upcoming STEP exam through my use of Med School Bootcamp."

This past summer of 2023, I was struggling to pass my comprehensive NBME in order to be able to sit for STEP. Between my first second attempt, I only saw a 1 point increase. Once I utilized Med School Bootcamp, I was able to increase my comp NBME score by 7points and pass. From the modules to the practice questions from the STEP QBank, I have developed more confident in my medical knowledge by understanding why particular answers are the best and how to knock out other answer choices based on the foundations of the medical material. I feel confident that I will pass my upcoming STEP exam through my use of Med School Bootcamp.

"Med School Bootcamp has singlehandedly saved my grade and my sanity. I love the combination of didactic videos interspersed with quick quizzes to make sure you understand the material."

Med School Bootcamp has singlehandedly saved my grade and my sanity. When I started med school, I was using every other possible resource - Anki, in-house lectures, handwritten notes handed down by upperclassmen, Boards & Beyond… nothing stuck, and I felt super overwhelmed. After using Bootcamp, that’s when things really started to click for me.

I love the combination of didactic videos interspersed with quick quizzes to make sure you understand the material. And the question bank is amazing; I appreciate the separation of questions into Identification, Application, and Clinical sets so that I can review at the level appropriate to where I am in my course.

"Would definitely recommend if you like the format of lecture with accompanying slides."

I love the format of Med School Bootcamp! I used to have Boards and Beyond but my school stopped paying for it and it was pretty expensive so I tried Med School Bootcamp and LOVE it! The slides and lectures are reasonable length and the instructors really take the extra step to explain the physiology behind certain concepts. I have found other resources emphasize memorizing facts which has always been challenging for me, when I can see the bigger picture and details behind a topic it’s much more likely I will remember. Also women’s repro has always been a hard topic for me but the instructor makes it super easy to approach! Would definitely recommend if you like the format of lecture with accompanying slides.

"The practice questions are incredibly beneficial and the board-style and lesson review questions help me in better identifying my pitfalls and topics that I need a better understanding of."

The Med School Bootcamp program has been an incredible source of information for me as I navigate my first year in medical school. Efficient and succinct with each lesson topic, I’ve been able to quickly learn the clinical pearls for diseases of various organ systems and supplement the material from my medical school. With an additional emphasis on high yield topics for Step 1 and board-style questions, this resource has helped me with early preparation for my upcoming board exams. The practice questions are incredibly beneficial for my learning and the board-style and lesson review questions help me in better identifying my pitfalls and topics that I need a better understanding of. Medical school has many moving parts, roles, and opportunities, and it was important for me to find a resource that allowed me to use my time wisely. "Very thankful for concise yet thorough explanations!‍"

I was struggling with anatomy in the fall of my first year of medical school when a friend told me about Bootcamp and how it helped him tremendously. I used the free version in the fall a few times and ended up buying the full version for neuroanatomy in the spring. I'm so glad I did this because it really helped me solidify the structures when my class was moving so fast. I did all of the videos and practice questions for neuroanatomy and ended up doing well on our lab exams. Very thankful for concise yet thorough explanations!

"Bootcamp's extensive question banks have also been great practice for board-style questions."

Bootcamp has proven to be a valuable resource for my friends and I as we study Anatomy. I especially appreciate the detailed and color-coded diagrams provided. Additionally, Bootcamp's extensive question banks have also been great practice for board-style questions.

"I use Anatomy Bootcamp after I have already watched my lecture videos and it makes me better understand even more! I love it!"

I like Anatomy Bootcamp because the people who are teaching you feel like they are right there with you. It goes into detail and they explain the material very well.

I use this after I have already watched my lecture videos and it makes me better understand even more! The pictures they have of the cadavers helps you actually understand where the bones, nerves, etc are in the body!

I love it!

"My biggest advice is to take your time and avoid rushing into the exam. Everyone learns at a different pace, and you should keep studying until you feel comfortable with the material."

The key thing to remember about PAT is to train yourself to look for what is wrong in the answer choices rather than trying to confirm the entire correct option. Eliminating mistakes is often much faster than proving something is completely correct.

"DAT Bootcamp provided me with all of the tools to be successful on this exam and I was able to take the DAT once and be done."

“I think it is critical to do all of the practice tests towards the end of your studying and make sure to go over them as well. These last few weeks was where I saw the most amount of progress.

"Seeing as the practice tests were most representative of the real DAT, I tried to redo as many of the science sections as I could to make sure I didn’t make the same mistakes."

Studying for the DAT is like a marathon and can very easily feel daunting and overwhelming. Utilize Bootcamp's organized calendar and take it day by day, knowing that they have all the resources you need to be prepared for test day.

"I focused on understanding concepts, because I felt like if I could understand a concept well, it wouldn’t be hard memorizing it later."

In the first month of studying, I didn’t really focus too much on memorizing concepts. Rather, I focused on understanding concepts, because I felt like if I could understand a concept well, it wouldn’t be hard memorizing it later.

"This rigorous preparation was very beneficial in making me feel comfortable during the exam and helping me gain confidence in my time management as well as the information learned."

Ultimately, Bootcamp tests and practice questions were somewhat more difficult than the actual exam. This rigorous preparation was very beneficial in making me feel comfortable during the exam and helping me gain confidence in my time management as well as the information learned. Best of luck to those beginning to study.
